Because we gather certain types of information about our users, we feel you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it.

Personal information we collect from you

The most common types of information we collect include things like: names, email addresses, other contact details, survey responses. We will also collect personal information from job applications (, the registration and cover letter).

How we collect personal information

We collect personal information directly when you provide it to us freely as you navigate through the Diversity Champions and when you complete jobs by email registration, subscribe to a newsletter, email list, submit feedback, or send us a communication.

Please do not submit your information if you do not agree for us to collect it.

You have several legal rights to control what we do with your information. For example, stop using your information in certain circumstances; stop sending you jobs by email. Please note that in some cases, asking us to do this may mean that we are no longer able to provide you with products or services.

How we use your information

We use your information mainly to provide you with products and services, to understand our (customers) users’ needs and improve the products and services we offer. We also use it to comply with laws and regulations that apply to us and to protect our business, our customers and employees.

Diversity Champions uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience in our network of sites, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.

When we use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We track search terms entered in Search function as one of many measures of what interests our users. But we don’t track which terms a particular user enters.

Diversity Champions creates aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers, sponsors and partners. This allows our advertisers to advertise more effectively, and allows our users to receive advertisements that are pertinent to their needs. Because we don’t track the usage patterns of individual users, an advertiser or sponsor will never know that a specific user clicked their ad. We will not disclose any information about any individual user except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

Sharing your personal information

We will disclose personal information to the following recipients:

(a) regulators and government authorities in connection with our compliance procedures and obligations; (b) a third party, in order to enforce or defend our rights, or reputational risks; (c) a rights holder in relation to an allegation of intellectual property infringement or any other infringement; where we are authorised or required by law to do so.

We will not share information about individual users with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

How we keep your personal information secure

We store personal information on secure servers that are managed by us and our service providers, and occasionally hard copy files that are kept in a secure location in the UK. Personal information that we store or transmit is protected by security and access controls, including username and password authentication, and data encryption where appropriate.

You also have the right to make a request to access other personal information we hold about you and to request corrections of any errors in that data. You can also delete the account you have with us at any time.

Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.

Usage Tracking

Diversity Champions tracks user traffic patterns throughout all of our sites. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users.

We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.
